Honda NSX

The original Honda NSX was one of the most impressive performance cars of its time, with a lightweight aluminium body, a light high revving V6 engine, beautiful styling and a chassis honed by F1 legend Ayrton Senna – so it’s no surprise that Honda has taken its time to create the replacement. But after many years of concepts and teasers, it’s finally here and they’ve managed to create a masterpiece again.

Looks-wise it can hold its own with McLarens, Audi R8s and the like, with a truly stunning design, but under the skin, it really is on another level. There’s a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 driving the rear wheels which produces a staggering 500bhp on its own, plus as this is a hybrid there’s a 48bhp electric motor in the middle of the drivetrain and two more 37bhp motors in the front wheels.

As it all can’t arrive together, peak power is 573bhp, enough for 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds. This is a car that is as quick as a Ferrari 488 but for much much less and is as easy to drive as a Jazz around town. Trust us – the new NSX is THE supercar for 2021…
